An early morning house fire that spread from a vacation rental to a neighboring home in Weeki Wachee is highlighting how quickly residential fires can escalate and the importance of being prepared before an emergency.

All occupants of the Airbnb escaped safely without injuries. The neighboring home was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
Airbnb said there was no active reservation at the property when the fire occurred.
